• From Koh Grill & Sushi Bar, situated beside Food Republic in Wisma (Orchard). It never fails to make my day. I'm a HUGE fan of sushi especially anything with salmon and this 2 generations of 'Shiok Maki' definitely won my heart. It's a plate of 8 pieces and it is affordably priced at S$16.80. It's also really filling if you eat a plate all to yourself, which gives it another plus point. If I were to choose which version I'd prefer, I'd still stick with the original Shiok Maki because I love sashimi & eel and the original is the perfect combination for me. I love how both of them are flame grilled on top and the sauce is to die for. It seriously melts in your mouth. No kidding. If you guys haven't been there before, you definitely have to! I've tried heaps of places in Singapore but none can beat the taste and price of this beauty. Also, when you eat them, you have to put the whole piece in your mouth because it tastes so much better that way! It can get really crowded during lunch hours so make sure that you go a little bit earlier or later so that you don't have to wait in line for so long. Last but not least, do ask for a cup of hot green tea because it's freeflow and free of charge (Green tea helps to cleanse your body so drink up!).

  • "To love and be loved" is what we want at the end of the day.
    Love. Love makes a person go further, to do the impossible. Love brings out the best in each of us. Love makes us feel accepted and understood. Love let's us know that we are never alone. Love gives us a reason to live for. Love comforts us and soothes our pain. Love makes us happy. Love gives us hope when we feel like giving up. Love excites us. Love refreshes us. Love energizes us. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not self-seeking. Love does not envy, it does not boast. Love does not delight in evil. Love is selfless, not selfish. Love rejoices with the truth. The world revolves around love because it fills our heart's deepest longing to be cared for. We look for things in life to fill the vast emptiness in our hearts. However, nothing can fill the depths of our hearts except LOVE. Only God's everlasting love can do that. No money, no fame, no human being can fill up the emptiness in your heart except the love of God. God IS love. Fill in the words "love" above and change them all with the word "God" and you'll know who God is. Jesus loves you! And He made you to experience his deep & perfect love :). And of course, He made people to love one another the same way as He does to let us know that we're not alone in this planet.

    I believe no one should be alone. No one can hate love. Im sure deep down, they are the ones who long to be loved the most. It's because they haven't received much love before. Maybe they've been hurt by people whom they truly loved and they found no point in loving people anymore because loving people is just too painful. However, they never experienced being truly loved unconditionally. I can't imagine a world without love. It would be a complete disaster filled with chaos, hurt, anger and betrayal. However, it's unfortunate to say but we see the world in this day and age to be one filled with a certain level of hostility. Where is the love?

    Have you ever experienced being loved unconditionally before? To be completely forgiven from all the wrongdoings and mistakes you've done in your life? No matter how bad the things you've committed against that person, you're still loved. You're still forgiven. No matter how guilty, how unworthy you feel... yet someone says that he even knows how many strands of hair you have on your head. That He knows every thought and feelings you had. He knows all the pain you've been through and every tear you cried is precious in His eyes. That he loved you so much that chose to suffer and give up his life in your place for you so that you can have a chance to be reconciled to the One who has created you for His very own enjoyment and escape His wrath and eternal seperation. God knows everything about you even before you were born. Do you know that? We are not born into this earth by random chance. We are not born just to eat, live, study, work, find a partner, marry, grow old and die. No, we are made to experience life to the fullest. To know our Maker, our Creator. To have a loving relationship with our heavenly Father. 

    I know for sure that Jesus can fill up the emptiness in your heart just like how He has filled mine. If you are seeking for the true meaning of life and seeking for true love, I encourage you to to open up your heart and let Jesus in. He loves you unconditionally, for eternity, just the way you are. He is the perfect one that you've been searching for all your life. His love is so captivating, so passionate, so unfailing and merciful that when you encountered Him, you'll never be the same again.
