• It never gets old watching this training video for Emirates Airlines!!! Seriously soooo beyond psyched to learn all these life skills that will be so important for everyday life. It’s gonna be so useful too!! It gets me upset when people don’t know just how intensive training is like to be a cabin crew. People think it’s just a high class waitressing job, clad with glamour and a bright smile. But no, you need lots of knowledge, strength and character to be one. You play many vital roles on the plane. You’re a fire fighter, a nurse, a policewoman, a caretaker, a life guard and in some cases, a midwife. I guess people are just oblivious because all they see is the service part of the job. What I love about Emirates is that they take the safety of their passengers as top priority. That’s why they invest in such world class aviation facilities to simulate the best real life scenario cases to train us in times of emergency. So next time before you treat your flight attendant rudely, please know that your life is in her hands! πŸ˜œπŸ˜‰

  • Ahhh less than 20 more days till I leave SG again, this time to live in Dubai! It’s so crazy, unexpected yet cool at the same time. I cannot be more excited to embark on this faith journey that the Lord is taking me on. I still remember about this time 2 years ago, I was praying for His direction on where I should go after I graduate from uni. My heart wanted to stay in Perth so badly but God spoke to me clearly that it was not His plans for me to stay in Australia but rather, to go back to Singapore because He said he had far greater plans for me back there. One of the reasons was that He would provide me with a good job. With bittersweet tears, I gladly took His words and trusted Him every step of the way, even though there were still many uncertainties looming ahead of me because I knew that wherever He leads me, it would be the best for me. True enough, He was and always is faithful to His words! I’m thankful that I heeded God’s direction because it turns out that getting a job right now in Aus is especially hard even for locals, what more foreigners. God knows every moment of our lives and He won’t go back on His promises! After lots of doubts on my part and affirmation on His part, I ended up being blessed to work with Emirates Airlines! I’m extremely humbled and fortunate to be given this opportunity to love, care and serve passengers from all around the world (140 destinations!) alongside lovely colleagues in this great multinational company πŸ˜„!! It’s beyond my wildest imagination that I would be living in such a beautiful place like Dubai and flying throughout the world with such an amazing airline so I am enormously grateful. Thank you sooooo much for seeing potential in me, Emirates and Abba Father! 😍😍😍 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. How true. He always graciously lead me according to His path for my life and has never failed me or left me alone :’). I’m gonna do them proud! πŸ˜„πŸ’ͺ

There were altogether 9 rounds of intensive interviews and group activities! The photo on top was taken with all the Final Interview Finalists. From over 500 people at the Open Day in October 2014, Emirates eliminated everyone till it was down to the 15 of us. I was so blessed to have met these gorgeous girls with great hearts. They are all so kind and friendly :). Unfortunately, we had to bid farewell to some of them after the last Final Interview round which lasts for 1 hour, leaving only 8 of us left in our batch who successfully got accepted by Emirates. I'm beyond privileged to be one of them. I almost thought I would have no chance to get in because I was up against many flight attendants from other airlines and people well experienced in the hotel, tourism and hospitality industry. Most importantly, for all you Emirates hopefuls, BE YOURSELF! Don't try to impress the recruiters by being someone you are not because people can tell if you are being pretentious. What Emirates look for are people who loves to be with people, are down to earth, genuine, friendly and kind. So, if that's you, I'm pretty sure Emirates would have their eyes on you :). All the best!! Feel free to ask me any questions about the interview rounds and what not if you have any. I'll try my best to help!

    Have an amazing day lovelies!

  • AHH I LOVE JAP FOOD SO MUCH. Here's a compilation of some of my snapchats featuring sushi and more sushi from my favourite Japanese restaurants in Singapore :D. When I first heard of Snapchat, I didn't want to join the bandwagon because I thought it was too mainstream. Last november when I went back to Perth to visit my friends/ second home, I decided to download it to keep in touch with all my friends. Pictures speak a thousand words and what Whatsapp or Instagram or Facebook can't do, Snapchat can!! I love how you can keep in touch with your friends and family without needing to save their photos and videos on your phone. It's more private as compared to Insta or FB because you don't want to spam your FB feed with things that you eat that day. And you don't need to edit your photos till it's good enough to upload on to Insta. It's so much fun. I got my whole family to download Snapchat so that I could keep in touch with them too! Haha. I'm so happy some of my friends downloaded Snapchat just to keep in touch with me as well hehhee. Anyways, I would really like to bring you guys all around the world with me so add me at @reelhearts on Snapchat y'all!!

My Top 3 favourite Japanese restaurants in Singapore (as featured in my video on top):
    1. Koh Grill & Sushi Bar

Click on here to read my review on it!

    2. Genki Sushi
I'm absolutely in love with their cute concept of using an iPad that is attached to each table to order your food. When you click send, your food will be placed on airplanes or ships and they will be sent straight to your table! The machine will keep beeping to let you know that your food has come. You've got to press the yellow blinking Genki Sushi button to send back your plane/ ship after you've taken your plates of food. The food is amazing too! LOVE IT!

    3. Sushi Bar
I love the food here! Such fresh sashimi. Yummm.

    Lots of love,

  • Hi lovelies! So, many people told me that my life is always filled with heaps of interesting stories and that I should share it with everyone. Some even told me to publish a book haha! That would be a dream of mine though. Anyway, it got me thinking and it's actually what I've been meaning to do. There's so many things in the media for people to explore - the good, bad and the ugly. They could either be things that uplift and edify you or corrupt you and get you addicted/ waste your time.

For whatever reason that landed you on to my page, I'm glad that you stumbled upon this little blog of mine and I hope that my posts would really engage, encourage, captivate and inspire you! I'm just as human as everyone is but I just hope that the posts I put up would nourish your soul or just simply entertain you hehe!

Some days I would share about life issues, some cool things that I've learnt, amazing food places that you should try out, some of my struggles and victories, awesome personal miracles and testimonies, reviews on my holiday destinations, some epic & funny things that happened to me, some of my hobbies & interests, videos or stories of others that really touched me, my hopes & dreams and any other musings :).

"Let your light shine for the World to see"
    Be blessed,
  • We are all purposely made, just like these beautiful crockeries, for a special purpose. Their appearance and functions are all very different from one another. However, one thing is the same. They all have a specific purpose to fulfill when it was made. The potter definitely did not make that tea pot for nothing. Before it was made, The potter conceived it in his mind that he wanted to make it to contain tea so that it can be poured out to serve people a drink. The potter wanted to make tea cups to contain tea poured out of the tea pot so that people can drink from it. The potter made plates of different shapes and sizes for different purposes too.

I don't know about you but just looking at all these amazing crockery makes me so happy. I love to admire crockeries. They each have such exquisite detail and design of it's own. And if we, mere people can admire their beauty, what more the potter himself who created these crockery? Won't he be fascinated with his own designs and be proud of what he has made? Won't he take full delight in each one of them?

Can the tea pot say that it hates being a tea pot because it doesn't want a big 'nose' sticking out of it and say she'd rather be a cup because they are smaller and prettier? Can the cup say that it hates being a cup and wants to be a plate instead? Or can the plate say to the other plate that she would rather look like her because she hates how she looks? No way

So likewise, why do we humans like to compare with one another and want to be like someone else? It's such a shame because we are missing out on our very own destiny that we were all originally meant to fulfill when God, the Maker of the Heavens and the Earth conceived us in His mind for.

If only the tea pot stops looking at others and realises how important and beautiful she actually is to the Potter. If only the tea pot stops trying to find ways to break her 'nose' off to be like a cup. No matter how hard she tries to be like a cup, she can never be a cup. She'll just end up looking like a funny looking pot that has a hole at her bottom because her 'nose' is gone. Even if she tries to contain tea, she can't because of that big hole. Haha sounds ridiculous for the tea pot to do it, right? Likewise for us, I bet it looks ridiculous to God when we try to do the same. To be something/ someone that we are not.

Imagine if you are the Potter that specially handmade all the crockeries the way you like them to be. But all of them starts complaining to you that they hate how they look and say to you that you don't know what you're doing? :O! I'd be upset! Do the clay think that they are better and greater than me? How can they think that at all? I am the one that created them and fashioned them all into being.

Don't you know my dear that it breaks God's heart too when you do the same to Him? Ranting about how you dislike yourself... That IF ONLY I have this, or look like this, or have this talent, or have that instead of this, I would be happy. Sounds familiar?

I've seen many people fall into depression because they dislike being themselves. They alter themselves to fit in the mould of the World.

If that's you today, I pray that you would not keep comparing yourself to others, stop putting yourselves down, stop hating yourself and embrace yourself the way God uniquely made you to be. You are his marvelous and beloved creation! You have an amazing destiny planned out by God that no one else can have except you. When you stop walking in other's shoes and realise your own potential and calling, you'll shine so brightly. You'll inspire many!

So lift up your head and wipe away those tears pretty ladies. You are all fearfully and wonderfully made by God! :)

     You're BEAUTIFUL
God said "You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, "You did not make me"? Can the pot say to the potter, "You know nothing"?" Isaiah 29:16

  • Being married to the man of your dreams is what many girls long for.
Who wouldn't? I've always been a hopeless romantic since young. I love to see people in love. When I was in high school, I would fill up my time reading HEAPS of romance novels and chick flicks and in the act of doing so, fill my tank of feeling loved, by placing myself in the shoes of the female character. I would bubble up with fuzzy joy and elation when I read/ watch how she falls in love with her 'dream' guy and him with her. I would ball my eyes out and feel their pain when the guy loses her. I would laugh at all their silly goofiness and hope that I would one day experience this same love when I grow up. Looking back, I wish I could've told my young ignorant self that they are just glamorous lies and not to waste my time dreaming of a 'perfect' romance but rather focus on improving myself for my future and the man that I'll marry, whoever he may be.
Having matured over the years, I've come to realise that while marriage is a great joy, it's also hard work and constant decisions to lay yours rights down for the benefit of your partner. More importantly, no human being can ever satisfy your deepest desires to be completely loved unconditionally because we are all imperfect beings, living in a fallen World. As much as we try to be perfect, we will still fail and make mistakes every now and then. Disappointments, betrayal, anger, unforgiveness etc kicks in. Where then can we find true love? A love that never fails, never ever gives up, never disappoints? A love that you can always trust, a love that forgives time and again when we mess up, a love so satisfying that it makes us giddy with joy all the time?
I came across my friend, Rachel's blog and what she said in her post struck me and reinforced my stand in marriage too. Amen to every word said!:
“I have always been amazed at the kind of preparation that the future queen Esther (a biblical figure) had to go through before she was able to come before King Xerxes. Imagine the possibilities when we have one year set aside for one sole purpose – becoming all you can be for the one you love the most. Precious time to cultivate beauty, to make an investment in education and etiquette, to strengthen virtue, and build character.
The preparation of Esther reminds me of that precious time between the awakening of desire in a young woman’s heart to share her life with a mate and the moment she walks down the aisle. For many, this time of preparation is seen as nothing more than a time of waiting. Single women often see themselves as sitting on the shelf while life passes them by, or as sitting on the bench while others play the game. They do not realize that they are wasting the most important time of their lives, they are robbing themselves of great joy and reward, they are robbing their future husbands of a more virtuous woman, and they are robbing God of a servant through whom He desires to do great things.
As Esther had to be prepared before she could be queen of an entire realm, so the woman must be prepared before she can embark on one of the most important and difficult callings in life – marriage and motherhood. Esther had to learn the ways of the kingdom to which she belonged, she had to learn the manners of court life, the intellectual, emotional and spiritual challenges of high position. To put it simply, Esther had to be transformed from a young lady into a queen before she could wear the title and fulfill the role. In the same way, the single Christian woman must learn the ways of the Kingdom of Heaven before she ever unites with the one that God is preparing for her. She must be prepared intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, not by court attendants in some pagan temple, but by God Himself, His Word, and by other godly women who have been prepared before her. Singleness is not a waste of time or a sitting on the sidelines, but a time that God has set aside especially for the woman, to make her into what He wants her to be, and to use her in ways that just might be impossible after marriage.
Singleness is a time in which a woman is to cultivate the virtues that pertain to being a woman of God, so that she can offer to her future husband and the world something more than just a pretty face. Remember in your singleness that you are not the only one single, but your future husband is passing through the same stage as you. Would it not be a terrible thing to finally meet the man who is to become your husband only to find out that he has used his singleness to serve God and to prepare himself to be a better husband for you. And yet you did not use the freedom of your singleness to serve the Lord, nor did you take advantage of the training that God offered you? Would it not also be a terrible thing to realize that your husband spent his days as a single man praying daily for your needs and the work of God in your life, while you neither prayed for him, nor responded to the grace of God that was given you as a result of his prayers.
It is a wonderful thing when God blesses a woman with a husband. That special someone who is “just perfect” for her in that he has been carefully and thoughtfully designed by God to be united as one with her. It is such a joy for the woman to look back and remember how God enabled her to wait on Him and that He was faithful to bless. It is still an even greater joy for her to know that her time as a single woman was also a time of seeking God and being faithful to Him and His purpose. That she did not for one moment wish to flee that state, but desired only to trust in God and wait upon His gracious sovereignty.
By no means is it a tragedy to be a single Christian woman, but the way of the world has once again infiltrated Christian- ity with the false idea that it is. One of the greatest lies is that if you do not “have someone” or are not “actively looking”, there is something wrong with you. Another lie is that the single woman should be dating around as though looking for a husband were the same as shopping in a mall. Still another even stronger lie is that the single woman should be giving her affections away indiscriminately so that she may be more “experienced” and know what to do when she finally finds the man of her choice. My dear Christian, it is a lie and an affront to God to say that experience is the best teacher, when in fact it is God who is the best teacher, and though the world’s' motto is “live and learn,” the Bible’s advice is “learn and live.” You do not need to be experienced, you only need to be knowledgeable of what God has said and obedient to it. You should not be looking for the man of your choice, but should be waiting on the man of God'’s choice. And when he comes, it will not be past experiences that will make your marriage work, but past chastity, purity, and godliness. We should hide our faces from the ways and experiences of this wicked world and look upon only those things that God has placed in the path He has prepared for us.
God knows exactly what you need and He even knows the desires of your heart better than you do. God loves surprises. He does not want you to be looking for your husband, He wants to bring him to you, and probably at a time you least expect it. If you disobey this advice, as so many other women before you, and take it upon yourself to look for a mate, you may find someone, but chances are that someone you find will not be the right one.
As women, our nature desires the company and companionship of a man. This is from God and therefore good. But at the same time, we are wrong to think that death will be the result if this need is not fulfilled. Needing another as a companion is not like needing to take your next breath of air. That is, you can survive without companionship, at least until God has done His perfect work in you. Remember the Scripture, “God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” (I Corinthians 10:13)
I have found that there are two primary reasons why someone “desperately” needs someone else. First of all, it is because they do not know God as they should. Is God not the God of all comfort? Is not Christ the exalted Lord who fills all things everywhere? Then why do we complain about how empty and alone we feel? Could it be that God extends our time of singleness so that we might find our life in Him and learn to be complete in Him? If we seek to be married because we feel that a husband will fill our lives or will in some way make us complete, we will be sorely disappointed in our marriage. No man, no matter how Christ-like could ever take the place of God in our lives, to think such a thing is pure idolatry. If we are not filled by God now and complete in Christ in the present, then not even a marriage made in heaven will be able to change our emptiness.
The second reason for desperately needing someone in our lives is plain selfishness. When we need someone in order to feel loved, or when we need someone so that our feelings of loneliness might dissipate, then we are wanting marriage for all the wrong reasons. Marriage should not be looked upon as an opportunity to have our needs met, but as an opportunity to meet the needs of another. If we have not learned to take our own needs to God, then we will probably overwhelm our husbands with our own needs and be unaware of his. I have known Christian women who spent their days consumed with their own needs and constantly lamenting about why God had not brought someone into their life. But why should God entrust a godly man to a woman that is absorbed in herself and her own needs, and does not use the freedom of her singleness to serve God and prepare herself for His purposes? Such a woman would have little to offer a godly husband!
My dear friend, being single, like being married should be considered a very special and enjoyable time in the providence of God. It should not be considered a mere circumstance or a curse from which one should try desperately to flee. Being single is a time to learn of God and of ourselves, a time to discover who we are in Christ, and to grow in Christlikeness. It is a time to be zealous for good works and involved in ministry to others. Being single has a magic of its own that should be enjoyed in its time because once passed it may not return. There is nothing quite so sad as a woman now married who regrets what she could have been and done with her life while single. All was lost for the sake of hurrying to be married without consideration for the plan or work of God.
Every season in life has a beauty and wonder of its own. My prayer for all single Christian women is that they might enjoy their time in spite of the lies of the world. That they might be demanding and not settle for anything less than the perfect will of God. That they might wait patiently on God who is the giver of every good and perfect gift. That they might be like Esther, using whatever time God deems necessary to make them beautiful on the inside and out.
    – by Charo & Paul Washer.

I don’t wanna just be a lady in waiting, I don’t want to waste one of my most valuable seasons in my life… ultimately I wanna be a women that my future husband can say…
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31: 10-12, 30

If only I knew God earlier in my life, I would have saved precious time given to me. It breaks my heart to see girls look for love in all the wrong places or placing relationships with a man above their relationship with God, the giver of love Himself. I want my future husband to say of me "a wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies" too. I believe in keeping myself pure, growing in the Lord and saving myself for the godly man God has prepared for me. Likewise for you, whether you're a Christian or not, I hope that despite what the World says, you too will believe your amazing worth and not settle for any less and focus on building yourself up in character rather than just external appearance because you are made for so much more :)

    Lots of love,
  • “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?'
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

(Walk on water by Britt Nicole- My favorite song on replay these days)

Don't let fear stop you from living your life to the fullest. We need to have a delete button for negative thoughts like "oh no, what would others think of me if I do this?", "I'm not good enough" or "I'm a failure". I suffered from thoughts like these for way too long. These condemning thoughts haunted me for years because of harsh words thrown at me since young. Fear is a prison for the human soul.

I realised that it is those who dare to dream that manage to live their dreams and God-given destinies. Don't keep your dreams boxed up in your fantasies any longer like I did. Take steps to reach your far fetched dreams today! It may take a long time and you may feel very lost, small and even feel like giving up. However, slowly but surely, by the grace of God, I believe you will get there!

    God bless,

  • It's so easy for us to be so consumed by all the chores and things that we have to do daily that we rarely take time to pause and thank Jesus for the life that we have. Just last night, I was using my phone and this sudden thought came to mind. What if I lose my eye sight all of a sudden in the next second? What if I can't see anymore?

Can you imagine what your life would be like if all of a sudden, everything you have gets stripped away from you? We need to learn to treasure every little/ big luxury that we have. The next time you think about how you think you're too 'ugly', 'fat', 'useless', 'boring', 'a failure' etc., please remind yourselves that you are far far far more well off than others who don't have the pleasure of having what you have. You're considered blessed to have fully functional bodies and arms and legs! You can do so many things. What are you doing with your life? Are we wasting our days away meaninglessly? I know we always hear that but do we actually process it through? We do know that we are blessed but what I want to stress is how we shouldn't take things for granted.

I have to admit some days I take these for granted but I'm thankful for this reminder that nothing we have is ours. God is our Creator. He can freely give and He can freely take away too. Naked we came into this World and naked we leave as well. No, none of the riches or assets we have acquired in our lives on Earth can be taken away with us to our grave. It's times like these when we truly treasure and thank God for all that we have that we learn to be contented.

Life can be very 'bleak' and 'boring' to many. However, it's all about perspective. If you view life with a thankful and joyful heart, you'll start to be truly thankful for so many things. Breath to breathe, a healthy body, clean and yummy food, a comfortable bed, clean water, fresh and juicy fruits, clean air etc.

Why live life complaining when there's so much out there to be happy about? Perspective is key my friends :). It's how you make your life out to be. You could either choose to be happy and thankful or you could live in misery and weariness. Choose happiness today!

I just watched a show and this girl went cliff diving with her friends in Bali. The cliff was more than 4 storeys high. She was afraid to jump but all for the sake of fun, she leaped off the cliff and bam! She landed badly and screamed "HELP! I can't feel my legs and my neck". The guys swam over to save her but she could hardly move. She had to be admitted to the hospital immediately because she showed serious signs of a spinal cord injury. She could be paralysed for life. Imagine that. Not being able to move freely like before. You'll never know what may happen any minute. It just goes to show that our human lives are but passing shadows, a vapour in the air, a flower quickly fading, here today and gone tomorrow. It shows that God is infinitely sovereign and almighty. Who are we mere mortals to think we don't need God? Or to even think that we are our "own god"?

"Do not be deceived, my brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." James 1:16-17

Hehe these are just some thoughts that I think about & prayers I make whenever I take a stroll in the park the past few weeks.

    Have a great week lovelies.

  • Wow. I've been following The Jubilee Project on YouTube lately and their videos are so heart-warming, tear-jerking & inspiring! If you guys haven't heard of them, do watch the video above and click here to watch more. They are so passionate about creating short films that not only entertain people, but also encourage others to do good as well. I found myself sitting in front of the computer the past 2 days, crying and smiling as I watched their productions hahaha. Embarrassing but hey, it means that they told their stories well. Every film they produce supports different causes such as Aids, Autism, Depression victims etc. Jeremy Lin acted in one of them as well! They are definitely one of my role models. I hope to produce good, uplifting short films that spread kindness around/ empower others as well some day :). It's so comforting to know that there are such driven people out there in the media industry that stand up for their beliefs and live out their dreams for something greater.

"Doubt kills dreams more than failure does."
    Chase after your dreams.

  • From Koh Grill & Sushi Bar, situated beside Food Republic in Wisma (Orchard). It never fails to make my day. I'm a HUGE fan of sushi especially anything with salmon and this 2 generations of 'Shiok Maki' definitely won my heart. It's a plate of 8 pieces and it is affordably priced at S$16.80. It's also really filling if you eat a plate all to yourself, which gives it another plus point. If I were to choose which version I'd prefer, I'd still stick with the original Shiok Maki because I love sashimi & eel and the original is the perfect combination for me. I love how both of them are flame grilled on top and the sauce is to die for. It seriously melts in your mouth. No kidding. If you guys haven't been there before, you definitely have to! I've tried heaps of places in Singapore but none can beat the taste and price of this beauty. Also, when you eat them, you have to put the whole piece in your mouth because it tastes so much better that way! It can get really crowded during lunch hours so make sure that you go a little bit earlier or later so that you don't have to wait in line for so long. Last but not least, do ask for a cup of hot green tea because it's freeflow and free of charge (Green tea helps to cleanse your body so drink up!).

  • "To love and be loved" is what we want at the end of the day.
Love. Love makes a person go further, to do the impossible. Love brings out the best in each of us. Love makes us feel accepted and understood. Love let's us know that we are never alone. Love gives us a reason to live for. Love comforts us and soothes our pain. Love makes us happy. Love gives us hope when we feel like giving up. Love excites us. Love refreshes us. Love energizes us. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not self-seeking. Love does not envy, it does not boast. Love does not delight in evil. Love is selfless, not selfish. Love rejoices with the truth. The world revolves around love because it fills our heart's deepest longing to be cared for. We look for things in life to fill the vast emptiness in our hearts. However, nothing can fill the depths of our hearts except LOVE. Only God's everlasting love can do that. No money, no fame, no human being can fill up the emptiness in your heart except the love of God. God IS love. Fill in the words "love" above and change them all with the word "God" and you'll know who God is. Jesus loves you! And He made you to experience his deep & perfect love :). And of course, He made people to love one another the same way as He does to let us know that we're not alone in this planet.

I believe no one should be alone. No one can hate love. Im sure deep down, they are the ones who long to be loved the most. It's because they haven't received much love before. Maybe they've been hurt by people whom they truly loved and they found no point in loving people anymore because loving people is just too painful. However, they never experienced being truly loved unconditionally. I can't imagine a world without love. It would be a complete disaster filled with chaos, hurt, anger and betrayal. However, it's unfortunate to say but we see the world in this day and age to be one filled with a certain level of hostility. Where is the love?

Have you ever experienced being loved unconditionally before? To be completely forgiven from all the wrongdoings and mistakes you've done in your life? No matter how bad the things you've committed against that person, you're still loved. You're still forgiven. No matter how guilty, how unworthy you feel... yet someone says that he even knows how many strands of hair you have on your head. That He knows every thought and feelings you had. He knows all the pain you've been through and every tear you cried is precious in His eyes. That he loved you so much that chose to suffer and give up his life in your place for you so that you can have a chance to be reconciled to the One who has created you for His very own enjoyment and escape His wrath and eternal seperation. God knows everything about you even before you were born. Do you know that? We are not born into this earth by random chance. We are not born just to eat, live, study, work, find a partner, marry, grow old and die. No, we are made to experience life to the fullest. To know our Maker, our Creator. To have a loving relationship with our heavenly Father.

I know for sure that Jesus can fill up the emptiness in your heart just like how He has filled mine. If you are seeking for the true meaning of life and seeking for true love, I encourage you to to open up your heart and let Jesus in. He loves you unconditionally, for eternity, just the way you are. He is the perfect one that you've been searching for all your life. His love is so captivating, so passionate, so unfailing and merciful that when you encountered Him, you'll never be the same again.

:) May you be blessed. Till my next post,

  • Those whole live in Bukit Timah would be glad this cafe is around. There's not many cafes in the west so this super quirky indie cafe is a great place to hang out if you're around that area. I love the whole atmosphere and vibe going on in there. It really reminded me of the Aussie style cafes back in Perth. The interior decor is lovely and the place is so chill for you to sit around, sip on tea and read a book or magazine. As for the food, I wouldn't say it's the best around. I didn't really enjoy my food. The bread was dry & hard and the chicken avacado tasted bland. Not worth the $$. The drinks were pretty good. I ordered their homemade juice and it was refreshing. Overall, the menu is pretty pricey for average tasting dishes but if you want a quiet place to chill in the West then go for it :). I would say Necessary Provisions would be a good place for drinks after you have your meal somewhere else.

  • I was very privileged to partner up with my super talented friend, Angeline Dowling, who is the founder of Love Thread. I am now the Creative Director of Love Thread! Love Thread is all about empowering girls to accept and love themselves the way they are. This is done by dressing well to become the best you can be, with the help of the stylish and fashionable Angeline. The dress displayed in the pictures is called the Olwen garment, which was specially made by Batik Batik and styled by Angeline! I had so much fun trying to create a grungy yet dream-like mood for this photo shoot. I love how the sun happened to set just as we arrived at the location! The warm yet bold lighting and the background definitely helped me to create the look we were going for.

Check out the dress and the stylist here.
Be sure to stay tuned for more pictures & videos coming up on Reel Hearts!
